The Association |
The Geelong & District
Historical Association (GDHA) is an umbrella association for the
historical organisations within the region. These include
Historical Societies, Family History Groups, Museums and similar
historical and heritage organisations. |
|
Purpose |
The purpose of the
Association is to be an information network for its member
organisations. Topics of interest and ideas can be discussed at
our quarterly meetings, via our newsletter or through our Mailing List. |
|
Region |
There are no defined
boundaries but GDHA generally covers the area east and south of the
Western Victorian Association of Historical Societies (WVAHS) and the
Central Highlands Historical Association (CHHA) |
|
Meetings |
The Geelong & District
Historical Association meets quarterly on a Saturday - meetings are
hosted by member organisations ensuring that groups get a chance to have
a "local" meeting. See calendar for details. |
|
Calendar |
The Association maintains a central calendar for all members of the Association to notify
other groups and the public of their coming events and enable groups
within the region to plan ahead without clashing with existing events. To have your
(member) organisation's event(s) added to the
calendar, please
send details via email. |
|
GDHA Mailing List |
A Mailing List has been
created for members of GDHA. Follow the instructions if you are
eligible to join. If you're not sure of your eligibility,
ask. |
