bullet  Noted events in her life were:

• Birth, Abt 1822, Heidelberg, Germany. 4 The Immigration Board's list shows place of birth of Eva Catharina MARTIN as Epfenbach, Baden, Germany, however birth certificates of children born in Australia show Catharina's place of birth as Heidelberg, Germany.

The website Auswanderung aus Südwestdeutschland [Emigration from south-west Germany] shows Catharina's last place of residence as Epfenbach.

A possible explanation has been provided by Jenny Paterson:
Eva Catharina MARTIN was Catholic. Catholic records for Epfenbach come under Spechbach, the nearest town. Epfenbach was in the district (Amt) of Sinsheim, but nearby Spechbach was in the Amt Heidelberg. This could account for Heidelberg being shown as place of birth / origin.
